Saturday 8th May

Overcast, light drizzle, strong wind - it felt good to be back with traditional boating weather. The canal was still very quiet, we saw only five boats on the move on our way to Barbidge Junction.
We passed Nb SKI with the Alpine scene on the name panel; look closely should you see this boat - there is a full stop after each letter. Yes, the letters do stand for Spending Kids Inheritance!
Turning right at Barbidge put Martlet and us onto new waters; the first part until you reach Calveley are next to the A51, but once through Br.104, you are in the countryside once more. We stopped about 5 minutes from the bridge and had been moored for only a few minutes when a shower arrived, timing, as in comedy is everything.
