Chester

The master plan is to stay for a night in Chester on our way to the boat museum at Ellesmere Port. Having moved off, the morning was decidely Autumnal, with the lovely colours that naturally follow; a distant view of the superbly situated Beeston Castle.

We tied up just before Br.123E where there are houses and not far from Tesco and Iceland stores. We had a wander around the City in the afternoon; I have now put a note on our old Geoprojects map to the effect that the toy museum is closed - and has been for some six years! Never mind, plenty more to look at in this lovely city. We will stop again, maybe for a couple of nights, on our way back.
