We are back on Martlet, six months have elapsed and the old fridge has received an environmentally friendly disposal at Rugby. The new fridge is installed and running after some alterations owing to it's increased height. A locking fuel filler [http://www.fuelock.co.uk/] has been fitted. It was simple to fit; remove one set screw from the brass filler fitting, screw in the adaptor, refit the set screw, screw the cap in place and lock it, even I could manage that! I had to shuffle the car to it's summer parking place yesterday; using the bus pass for over half of the journey, National Express for the other part. Today we left the marina to warm up the engine prior to the oil change. We stopped near Br9, where Myra drained the engine and gearbox oil, then changed the oil filter whilst I was acting in my capacity as engineering consultant. I was watching the lambs playing, when I was not busy supervising.
We had lunch, moved off to the winding hole and then reversed to the top of Watford locks in order to fill with water and to chat to the lockies, Mr & Mrs Andy whilst they were painting. It was warm, sunny and pleasantly quiet. The latter owing to a motorway accident or collision as they insist on calling them nowadays. A nice sunny trip back to the marina with all systems functioning as required, let us hope that the weather is better this year.
