Journeys using bus pass: 16
Neither of us did much today except for watching the really heavy showers of rain and our new covers slowly taking up water and sealing the stitches. I was rubbing my finger along the right hand side bar from the bulkhead to the cratch board, wiping off the water when the fitting came away from the bulkhead. Looking at it, the pop rivets seemed too short for the job. We will phone Canvas Man in the morning and they can come back (again) and fix it properly.
There were a lot of very wet people on the day hire boats, but they all managed a smile when we waved to them. In the evening between showers, we had a walk to the swing bridge and the small park. There was a good information board about the village buildings with drawings and a brief history of the main ones.
Heavy showers and a few bright intervals.
